Aphrosiderite and Chamosite are the unofficial names for this member of the chlorite group. This sample has undergone a process called pseudomorphosis whereby almandine garnet crystals have been transformed into Aphrosiderite (Chamosite) maintaining the typical dodecahedral structure of garnets.
