his is the most appreciated variety of the garnet group attaining the highest prices for good specimens. Its name alludes to the fiery "vivacity" which remind one of that of a diamond. Its green colour is due to the presence of small quantities of chromium in its lattice. This specimen comes from one of its most famous deposit. |
